Tzu Chi Foundation
Address: 76 Cordillera cor.
Agno Street, Barangay Doña Josefa, Quezon
City
“Tzu Chi Foundation is a
non-‐profit organization founded in 1966
by Dharma Master
Cheng Yen in the
impoverished east coast of Taiwan.” (Tzu
Chi Foundation, Philippine
Chapter Website)
As for someone who
has been to the interior walls of
the Tzu Chi foundation,
I find this place as
an escape from the hustle of Banawe.
It’s a magnificent place to
be in since the serenity
and calmness of the dharma exudes
everywhere. The Tzu
Chi foundation isn’t simply
a “Buddhist temple”, it’s really active
in terms of social
welfare and charitable acts.
If ever you get a
chance to visit the place, take time
to meditate and clear
your mind. There are three
things that the master would teach
you: May all minds
be purified, may there be
peace in the community, and may there
be no disasters in
this world. It also gives
you a chance to do some volunteer
work if you feel that you
could lend a hand, they’re
always welcome to those who wants to
work with them.
Found at the heart
of Doña Josefa, it’s really hard to
miss.
